Because of everything that is happened until this point, you are here now.
And it is exactly where you are supposed to be. Realizing this will allow you to take things in as they come to you, and it will allow you to be grateful for where you are now. I recently got caught up in wanting more, “IT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH”, I thought. But then I discovered that wanting more was sort of an insult to my present. As if to say, “Sorry present, you’re clearly not good enough for me.” That’s kind of a rude thing to do to anyone, really.
The thing is, right now is perfect. (Moments are perfect, humans aren’t). Look for the good in the mess that is your life. Or the needle in the haystack. Or the tic on your dog. Pick up that little gleam of hope and give it a hug. Say, thanks for being here gleam of hope. Except don’t do that with the tic. Make sure you burn that son of a bitch. Make sure it feels pain. Tics really freak me out.
If you are looking to be a better version of yourself. Or thinner, or happier, or healthier, or more successful… Know that you just made it. Right now. You are there already. You are exactly where you are supposed to be.
*Taken from an old blog of mine full of little messages of love. Thank you to my friends and family who are here with me today. For we have all made it. Our past and presents exploded into this moment, and it’s pretty great that we all get to share it together.
